A lovely lochside setting, with mature trees and some impressive rhododendrons. Parking is good, with only a short walk to reception. Our room in the annex had a modern bathroom. Food well presented on plates (but see below).
Beds uncomfortable, Too many dogs, some confrontational to other dogs. Bar is too small. Poor dining experience, staff don't serve at table properly (not trained), food served cold on scorching hot plates, and clearly had been sitting for some time.

Stonefield Castle's location is absolutely breathtaking. The views from the eating areas as well as the rooms are spectacular. There are numerous trails around the castle that you can use for easy hiking.
The food was great, but the service could be slow and a little disorganized.

The property was delightful with courteous staff. Location just off the lake shore, the loch and establishment. Delicious meal at attached restaurant. Had exceptional service. No charge for wake up service and ironing too.

The staff made it for us, pleasant, friendly but in the background, not in your face. The location is beautiful although out of the way, ayou definitely need a car. The food was fab and the whole experience was superb.

We had only booked a one night stay at the hotel but after the first evening we arranged to stay another night at the end of our holiday. The views from the dining room at breakfast were amazing, looking down the loch. The food was excellent at both dinner and breakfast. The only drawback on our second night was the service which was a little slow due to some staff having left, which seemed to cause the Manager an amount of stress which became evident as the evening progressed. If you stay here, treat yourselves to a walk in the hotel grounds, they are certainly worth it.

We took a lovely stroll around the shores of Loch Fyne, where our teenagers even tried fly fishing! The staff was super accommodating, and the dining experience was good, especially the dinners with fine views of the loch.
My kids wished for an earlier breakfast option.

Nice location, view on a loch from the restaurant
Dark rooms, bathrooms dirty and need to be renewed. The worse was at the restaurant, I order a quite expensive lobster and got a very small one without claws. I complained to the F&B manager who couldn't care less. She told me that lobsters in Scotland came without claws!!! I just couldn't believe it! I also asked in advance for connection rooms as we were traveling with young children and that was not offered. It's not worth the price, you find much better quality for less!
